When asked what makes him tick, Miller responds, “I can’t help it. I love fixing things.” In 1986 he got involved in process improvement at IBM as the team lead of a computer manufacturing line. Once tasting it, he couldn’t get enough. His friends started calling him ‘Mr. Improvement’.
As a business process analyst, with 30 years at IBM, John Miller has a life passion helping folks win by creating a self-sustaining culture of continual improvement. As a speaker, coach and consultant, he is dedicated to teaching others the benefits and thrill of constantly improving through the use of time-tested tools and methods.

John has worked with a variety of businesses - customer fulfillment, grocery store, manufacturing, restaurant, supply chain, finance, facility operations, and farming.
In addition to his zest for process improvement, John is a personal goals coach and gives back to the community as a volunteer teacher in adult education and working with kids. For him, improvement is a thread that runs through all his activities. He enjoys staying fit by competing nationally in endurance sports like cycling, running and swimming. He lives in Vermont where he resides with wife Denise and daughter Laura.
